the longer the better...ika nga nila..humahagod...nyahahaha
mas stable daw ang mahaba e sa fast decend....disavantage lang is sa tight turn at sabit sa puno o damo....
pero di ko pa natrytry yung more than 28"....sana one of this days...

masarap pag off-the-saddle attack pedalling....pero medyo mas malikot yung steering
lalo na sa slow tecky single tracks, kasi konting body movements mo madali mag-react
sa hbar. But it might not work for me but would be a big advantage for you. Walang kat-
apusang gastos kung you are really searching ways and techniques to make you go
oooohhhhhmmmmmaaaaaaayyyyyygggggaaaaaaalllllllliiiiiiiwwwwwwooooooowwwww!!!!

napansin ko din na mas stable at speed saka when you hit a big rock or rocks mas
lesser and wobble. Pero pinaka positive sa kanya ay....ang ganda mo sa pix!:-)

Re: Long 31" or 32" DH handlebar...what's the benefit? Pang pinoy ba?
ok 32 kasi medyo stable sa drop at jumps lalo na sa landing. last week ko lang na try. nakaka dag dag sa confidence kasi feeling mo parang naka pushup position ka. tapos pag sprint padyak pa fiakpa finish mas madaling hatakin. but for my all mountain siguro 31 pa rin ako. mas comfortable.
Re: Long 31" or 32" DH handlebar...what's the benefit? Pang pinoy ba?
amen to that sir jong,
hindi man ako nag DH pero parang mas ok yung malapad, nag aaral palang ako sa mga ramps...mas madaling hatakin yung mahaba yung bars kaysa maiksi, pero the thing is natatakot ako sa haba dahil baka mahirapan na akong gumawa n-x-up or other things to play with the handle bars in of these days.. sa akin kasi pag maiksi yung bars, malaki yung effort na hatak dahil sa position narin ng mga braso, but mas madali gawin yung handle bar triks pag maiksi, sad for me hindi na ganon ka mobile yung left wrist ko and right shoulder because of recent injuries...

Re: Long 31" or 32" DH handlebar...what's the benefit? Pang pinoy ba?
in my opinion......
the wider the bar, the more na maganda ang leverage. applicable sya sa DH, freeride, AM lalo na sa trials, hehehe. short of saying, if you're gonna use a wide bar, naka "attack position" mode ka. turning would be almost effortless dahil may leverage ka nga.
imagine magtatanggal ka ng gulong ng kotse kasi na-flat ka. eh ayaw umikot ng tire wrench. what you do is extend the arms ng tire wrench by adding an extension and in most cases, ang ginagamit nila pang extend eh tubo ng tubig. you see this procedure almost all the time sa mga nagtatanggal ng gulong ng truck, hehehe. law of leverages kung tawagin.
also, mas accurate and pag-turn pag wide na bar ang gagamitin. same principle din kung bakit malaki ang rotors ng DH/freeride compared sa XC.
ngayun, sa XC naman, di kailangan ng ganito kahaba kasi, most likely, hindi naman gnarly ang dadaanan mo na kailangan mo ng leverage to overcome deep ruts, obstacles, where accuracy and split second decision making is needed, etc.
besides, kung lagi kang naka "attack position", baka mangalay ka. the XC bike is built for not so aggressive offroad and long rides.
