Re: Single Speed
Yep XTR RD to account for the chain growth when the suspension compresses, Plates on each side of the rear cog to keep the chain on. I'm not sure what he's running on the inside of the crankset but he looks to be using a front derailleur as a stop also... Here is another pic...

Re: Single Speed
check mo rin thickness ng chainring & cog...
usually mas thick ang SS specific chainring & cog, parang pang-bmx...
ss specific chain is usually 1/2 x 3/32"... yes, parang pang BMX

Re: Single Speed
IG-51 or ngayon HG 9 speed na chain. no problems.

Re: Single Speed
how bout yung sinasabi nila na yung "stretched" na chain daw eh mas madaling makasira ng gears since hindi na tama ang lapat nya sa teeth ng chainring at cog/s?

Re: Single Speed
I have a collection of used and stretched chains that I use when I build new SS bikes so I can try to find the "magic gear" (using a half link and ghetto eno) and not have to use a tensioner... Stretched chains are not necessarily weaker and since I use steel cogs/chainrings it won't really wear out my chainrings/cogs too fast either. Plus, I usually just ride my SS drivetrain without replacing cogs/chainrings (I just have them wear out together since it doesn't affect the shifting anyway and cogs and chainrings are relatively cheap).

Re: Single Speed
TIA!

Re: Single Speed
Gen Badong,
yan po ay madalas gamitin for fullsusser SS rig...
because of the chain growth kapag gumagalaw ang suspension system...
HTH
------
@nyumonjing,
sa cycle art meron da bomb chain tensioner & 9-1 ss kit... meron also fireeye 'the spur' & 'ssk'...
eh walanghiya! nung tinanong ko yung 'the spur' tensioner is priced 1.2k...
yung 'ssk'... P650!
mura ba yun?!?!
yung da bomb kit, P550...
i dont know ang kalakalan ngayon ng tensioner...

Re: Single Speed
koya bayot,
ano nititingin nya?
@nyumonjing: para sayo 16T...
usually naman 16 or 18T...
alam ko 20T is for trials... i may be wrong...

Re: Single Speed
